Govt. of Rajasthan introduced Online BPL Census

Department of Rural Development in Govt. of Rajasthan seems it difficult to take BPL census manually which conducted at an interval of every 5 years. It has to survey more than 92 lacs of households and details of over 4 crore rural citizens. It leads to the implementation of OCR/OMR technology by the Govt. of Rajasthan with the help of NIC (National Information Centre). With the support of this technology a form was introduced. It is a A4 duplex sheet which contains a combination of the family serial number and of the family member. So each family could be identified with a unique seriel number and its members with a unique number. There is also a portal for project management which can be used for BPL-related tasks. A web app is moulded to capture online updates which helps to carry out audit trail of each and every operation on the database and provides numerous MIS reports for all tiers of administration.
